put the book back on the shelf

The cover is often a misrepresentation of the plot which always tends to be quite fluid. The characters - keep you in tears, stiches or just plain interested in their daily lives in whatever the setting may be. The latest "it" novel? No. Life.

over the pavement and through the slums, part three

As I sped toward the ground my mind raced. This was it I was going down, but it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Every dream I'd ever dreamt, ever I thought I'd ever had, every wish I'd ever made -- they were all here swirling around my body and engulfing my being as my world changed from greyscale to technicolor. The air whooshed past me as I fell...up? I wasn't falling down at all! I was ascending! All my dreams, hopes, and breakthroughs -- they were carrying me up, up, up, and away from here. I didn't know where they were taking me, but I closed my eyes, threw caution to the wind, and enjoyed the ride.

New (School) Year's Resolutions

The General:

  1. Develop some tenacity. - This can be applied to a lot of things; work ethic, transmutation, organization, a positive outlook, writing, sticking to goals etc.
  2. Loose the damn ego. - I'm not the best thing to happen to the planet earth and I really ought to stop acting like it. Besides, I end up shutting myself out of things that way.
  3. Make every second count. - This year is my last year living outside of the "the real world." I have to make everything the best it can be to minimize regrets.
  4. Get more involved. - Just because ITA is gone doesn't mean that there aren't other clubs I can join. It's never to late to start anew.
  5. Put an end to the slacking & procrastination. - It's extremely self-defeating; there's just no place for it anymore.
The Specific:
  1. A minimum 3.57 unweighted GPA each quarter.
  2. Write creatively 3 times/week of my own accord.
  3. Accumulate no more than 9 missed days of school for the year.
  4. Save at least 10% of all money acquired.
  5. Maintain a 'B' average in Precalculus -- no matter what it takes.

the end of hiatus?

I've been really horrible about writing lately, and for this I apologize; to both myself and my one or two loyal readers. I've really got to get serious about writing these next two weeks because after that, the ball starts rolling again and then who knows when I'll have the time to construct anything decent? My goal is three decent poems or pieces of prose each week, let's see if I stick to it, eh?

hiatus?

Not really, I've just been busy.
